SUP rental in Csopak: frequently asked questions

Questions about renting
How do I book a SUP?
Click the booking button, choose your day and fill in the form. It only takes a few minutes.
Where do I pick up my rented SUP?
At the reception of Hotel Csopak Resort & Lake (Örkény István sétány 1-2., 8229 Csopak). Just show the invoice you received for your booking and off you go.
How long can I rent a SUP for?
Rental is charged per day: 10,000 HUF for one day, 17,000 HUF for two days, per board. If you’d like it for longer, let us know in advance.
What documents do I need for pick-up?
Just the invoice you received for your booking. No other paperwork is needed.
When can I start and when do I have to bring the board back?
You can start any time between 8 am and 9 pm, and the gear has to be returned by 10 pm.
What if the weather is bad?
We don’t go out on the water in rain or strong wind either. In that case you get every forint back; for online bookings we refund it automatically.
Use and gear
I’m a beginner. Can I try it too?
Of course. SUP is easy to learn, our boards are stable, and instruction is included in the price.
What does the rental include?
A quality SUP board, paddle, life jacket and instruction. You’ll find the full list (speaker, waterproof bag, cup and phone holder) on the SUP rental page.
How do I use a SUP?
Step onto the board, hold the paddle with both hands and start paddling slowly. If you feel unsure, try it kneeling first.
What should I wear for SUP?
A swimsuit or comfortable sportswear. Bring sunscreen and a hat as well.
What happens if the gear gets damaged?
Let us know straight away and we’ll sort it out together. Don’t worry.
Can I get photos or video?
Yes, photos and video are available for an extra charge.

Where is the pick-up point?
At the reception of Hotel Csopak Resort & Lake, Örkény István sétány 1-2., 8229 Csopak.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes, you’ll find parking right next to the hotel.
What rules should I follow on Lake Balaton?
Don’t go too far from the shore, wear a life jacket if needed, and watch out for other boats.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, you can bring your dog on the SUP and on the catamaran too.
Is there an age limit?
There’s no age limit, you can come with children too.
What if I need to cancel my booking?
If you cancel at least 48 hours before the start, you get a full refund or can rebook for free. Between 48 and 4 hours before, we offer a free rebooking or a coupon valid for 12 months. Within 4 hours we decide case by case, usually with a 50% coupon. If you don’t show up, we can’t refund the fee. If we cancel because of the weather, you choose: a full refund or a new date.
